Operations consultant
I run operations for the companies that move people across borders.
Global employment platforms, payroll providers, mobility and HR tech. I’ve come at this from every side: inside an EOR, running global payroll and people ops in-house, and as the product manager who built the tooling, on top of a decade of delivery before that. Drop me into the operation, whether something’s breaking or there’s just too much of it, and I’ll make it run.
01 The situation
Your product scales cleanly. The operation behind it doesn’t.
You help companies hire, pay, and move people across dozens of countries. Behind the product, onboarding, payroll runs, and compliance are still manual, owned by a few people, and rebuilt market by market. You don’t want to pull a senior person off the product. You need someone who has run this engine from the inside.
- Something’s breaking: the ops team firefights, payroll errors creep in, every new country starts from zero.
- Or nothing’s broken: there’s just more work than the team can carry, and it has to land somewhere senior.
- Or someone’s out, on leave or mid-handover, and the operation can’t pause while you backfill.
02 What I do
However it starts, it comes down to the same thing.
Keep the operation running as you scale, and rebuild the parts that don’t.
Run it
Keep operations running
Day-to-day ops, onboarding, and payroll across markets, kept moving while you grow or while a seat sits empty.
Fix it
Untangle what’s breaking
Find where process falls over as you scale, then redesign and rebuild it so it holds at the next size.
Build it
Build the systems behind it
I’ve been the product manager too, so I translate operational mess into workflows, tooling, and systems that actually get built.
Know it
Deep domain, not generic ops
Payroll, immigration, tax, EOR and entity structures across markets. I know the work, not just the org chart.
03 Track record
Built and run from every side of global employment.
WERC-certified: GMS and Strategic Talent Mobility. Member of the Global Tax Policy Forum.
04 How I work
Two ways in.
Ongoing
Fractional retainer
A set number of days a month, on a rolling 3 to 6 month basis. Senior hands on your operations, without a full-time hire.
One-off
Project
A defined scope with a clear output: an onboarding rebuild, a payroll-ops fix, a process reorg, a systems migration. Done and handed over.
Most engagements start with a short call to scope what you actually need. No deck first.
